WHO HAS THE VALLEY'S BEST CHILI?

19th Annual MWV Chili Cook-Off Returns March 28 with 13+ Competitors, Local Celebrity Judges & a New Home at Tuckerman Brewing Company

NORTH CONWAY, N.H. — The Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the return of the 19th Annual MWV Chili Cook-Off, set for Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM — and this year, the heat is moving to a new venue: Tuckerman Brewing Company in Conway.

Thirteen teams of professional and amateur chefs — representing some of the Valley's most beloved businesses, nonprofits, and community organizations — will go ladle-to-ladle for the title of Chili Champion. Attendees sample all the chilis, vote for their favorites, and help crown the People's Choice winner. It's one of the most delicious competitions of the year, and it sells out fast.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Guests will sample at least 14 different chilis — from smoky meat-forward bowls to creative veggie entries — and cast votes for the People's Choice Award and Best Display. A panel of local celebrity judges will independently score entries and award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in both the Professional Chef and Amateur Chef categories, plus a Best Overall Veggie Chili and Best Display. Hourly door prize drawings add even more excitement throughout the event.

Between bowls, cool off with a cold Tuckerman Brewing Company craft beer — the perfect antidote to a five-alarm chili (available at an additional cost).
