Plan Your Shopping Vacation!

While there are many attractions in North Conway, NH, and endless ways to play outdoors, shopping in the best ski town in the US can easily be a full-day activity.

You’ll find shopping destinations such as Settlers' Green, a 60-plus brand name outlet mall, as well as a group of locally owned shops, The White Mountain Independents, and boutiques in between!

Plan your day of shopping around art tours, making your way to boutiques in between coffee breaks, and stopping into local gear outfitters for a new piece of equipment before heading outside for your adventure!

The White Mountain Independents, is a community of over 20 locally owned shops in the Mt. Washington Valley. Some White Mountain Independents stores offer products made on-site, and all contribute to the charm of the White Mountains region.

Other shops in Mt. Washington Valley that offer boundless opportunities to find something fun and fresh include Poppy and Vale and Designed Gardens Flower Studio. Flowers, clothes, home décor and jewelry punctuate both stores, and their aesthetics are both so inspiring.

League of NH Craftsmen and Ravenwood Curio Shoppe are both havens for creative shoppers, and Stan and Dan’s, Ragged Mountain Equipment, and REI Co-Op are anchors in the outdoor gear and apparel shopping scene.

You can also explore Mt. Washington Valley’s shopping options through art! Create your own art and shopping tour by taking cues from this list of Mt. Washington Valley artisans and visit these galleries, music halls, statues, shops, and more.

Settlers Green is a major part of this art tour, with dedicated public art spaces throughout its three shopping campuses. You’ll find murals, sculptures, and paintings— many of which were created by local artists. Follow its art map and directory to find them all!

This year, Settlers Green celebrates its 35th anniversary with a series of events running throughout the year. As part of its spring celebration, it  will unveil a new piece of art by world-renowned artist Michael Alfano on April 20.
