Campton, NH May 29, 2025 – We are pleased to announce that Glen Ellis Falls Scenic Area has reopened after a reconstruction and rehabilitation project. Located on Rt. 16 in Pinkham Notch, NH, this popular historic site offers a short hike to a dramatic 66-foot waterfall, picnicking opportunities, and is the starting point for the Glen Boulder and Wildcat hiking trails. The project included relocating and improving the road and parking lot, improving picnic opportunities, and constructing new toilet facilities.
Constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), the site is eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the oldest and most popular sites on the White Mountain National Forest. The project was funded by the Great American Outdoors Act and fees collected through the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act.
