CONWAY, NH – Big Dave’s Bagels & Deli claimed the top spot in the Professional Division at the 19th Annual MWV Chili Cookoff on Saturday, March 28, 2026, earning the judges’ first-place award in front of an enthusiastic crowd at Tuckerman Brewing Company in Conway. The beloved annual event, presented by the Mt. Washington Valley Chamber of Commerce, made its debut at the new venue and drew chili fans eager to sample more than 17 different recipes from pro and amateur competitors alike.
A panel of local celebrity judges evaluated entries across Professional and Amateur divisions, awarding first, second, and third place in each category, along with a Best Vegetarian Chili distinction. Event attendees cast their own votes for the People's Choice and Best Display awards.
Professional Division

3rd Place: The Scarecrow Tavern
Amateur Division
1st Place: North Conway Community Center
2nd Place: M&D Playhouse

Best Display: Sap House Meadery NoCo
